Join MELT instructors Nicola Kidney and Monica Halper in this interactive, 3-hour self-care experience. Using specialised soft body rollers and balls to simulate the results of hands-on manual therapy, we will guide you and break down the key components of each sequence in the MELT Method book, so you can become your own Hands-Off Bodyworker®.  We will demonstrate how MELTing can help relieve aches and pains, reduce inflammation and improve alignment.  You will learn the basic MELT Method system and the have the tools you need to live the pain-free life you deserve.

Please note this workshop will entail lying on a roller on the floor so participants should be able to self-transfer down and up from the floor.  If that is difficult for you, don't worry, you can still MELT, but private lessons may be the best avenue to learn specific adaptations suitable for you; contact us to begin your personal MELT journey.

The MELT Method is a simple self-treatment technique that eliminates chronic pain, improves performance, and decreases the accumulated stress caused by the repetitive postures and movements of everyday living. MELT was created by manual therapist Sue Hitzmann, based in New York City, and it’s an affordable addition to any wellness or fitness routine.

  • This workshop is near Angel, Islington (check the map below; the venue has changed!)

  • Wear comfortable, nonrestrictive clothing.

  • Warm socks may be a good idea.

  • We will provide some yoga mats but if you have one to bring, please do.

  • Bring water and be sure to keep drinking it -- MELT is about rehydrating!

  • If you book in, but do not receive a notice of payment confirmation, please contact us.

  • Other MELT products (such as DVDs, Half Rollers and Full Hand and Foot Kits) will be available for purchase on the day.  

    • If you pre-order these, we'll be sure to have enough stock!

  • There are sooo many cafes and eateries in the Angel area should you arrive early or wish to eat afterward.

  • The entrance to Lift is through the glass door via the driveway on the left side of the building. 

  • Once inside, come up to the 2nd floor; you'll find the dance studio through the Yellow Hall, on the left.

 

  • From Angel (Northern Line), it's a 4 minute walk.

  • From Kings Cross (many lines!), it's a 15-20 minute walk or a quick tube or bus ride.

  • Many busses serve the Angel area: 4, 19, 30, 38, 43, 56, 73, 153, 205, 214, 341, 476
